I lost a very good friend to a car crash in December. Reading your blog has really helped me deal with my grief. My friend, Sarah, was like a sister to my other really good friend. Your posts about how you needed people to just show up and be there - to love you really helped me be there for her too. Please disregard any negative comments from ignorant strangers...who are at the core of it being, unloving.

xxx MerinAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06612259731347254295noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5654777586382824222.post-69432618416917173342014-02-20T20:54:39.050-08:002014-02-20T20:54:39.050-08:00"it was very early on in the grief journey th..."it was very early on in the grief journey that i realized i can't just do what i think i should do or what others think i should do. i'm the only one who knows what i need, because i'm the only one who has gone through what i have gone through. my journey is my own. but as an innate people-pleaser, this is difficult. because i want others to like me. to view me as strong. to see me as doing okay."

Wonderful words. I'm going to tell you what I told her. People are mean, they can be vicious and sometimes they are mean just to make themselves feel better. Always know that we love you and you are surrounded by people that love you and know how beautiful and wonderful you are. No matter how you feel, happy, sad, angry, or just meh - it's okay to feel and don't worry about what others think. Just be you and what you need to be.
-AliceaAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
